Funding Extended for States to Improve Medicaid Enrollment Systems: On October 28, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced it would continue two current funding opportunities for states to improve their enrollment systems: “90/10 funding,” which allows states to receive a 90 percent federal match to update their Medicaid eligibility and enrollment systems, and a three-year funding extension for states to integrate eligibility systems among health and human services programs. CMS will soon propose regulations to permanently extend “90/10” funding.
