Open enrollment continues until January 31 deadline
Washington, D.C. – Today, Anne Filipic, President of Enroll America, issued the following statement regarding the Trump Administration’s decision to halt all outreach and advertising efforts in advance of the January 31 Affordable Care Act open enrollment deadline:
“It is outrageous and deeply concerning to hear that the Trump Administration has halted outreach and already-paid-for advertising efforts for the remainder of the enrollment period. Every day we are supporting consumers through the enrollment process – Americans who are hungry for information about their coverage options made available through the Affordable Care Act. Those Americans don’t care about political infighting in Washington, and unless and until an alternative system is in place, they deserve to have every possible resource available to help them make sure they and their families are covered.
“Right up to the January 31 deadline, the Enroll America team will be working tirelessly to spread the word, cut through the confusion, and help as many people as possible enroll in or renew their health coverage. But make no mistake: the Administration is uniquely positioned to engage and support millions of consumers in these critical final days and their decision to halt outreach will have real impact on real people’s lives.”
