Washington, DC – Earlier today, the Department of Health and Human Services released a streamlined application form for consumers to enroll in the Health Insurance Marketplace. In response to HHS’ announcement, Enroll America President Anne Filipic released the following statement:
“The streamlined applications released by HHS today represent a victory for consumers who are getting ready to enroll in the Marketplace in October. The shorter, just-the-facts applications will help empower consumers to make the health care decisions that are right for them, their families and their budget.
“At Enroll America, our mission is to help ensure that Americans know how and where to sign up for coverage, and to encourage the states and the federal government to make that process as easy as possible for consumers. The streamlined application released today is a big step in the right direction and demonstrates that decision makers are committed to making the enrollment process consumer-friendly.”
“There’s still a lot of work that needs to be done to ensure that come October, the Marketplace lives up to its potential, and these types of smart, commonsense solutions are putting us on the right path forward.”
