Enroll America has made a major investment in grassroots organizing — but we can’t do it alone. Working with organizations across the country that have a strong grassroots presence is one of the prime ways we make sure enrollment education and assistance reach the ground level, one consumer at a time. Here are just two examples of the thousands of partnerships we’ve developed across the country:
National Council of La Raza (NCLR)
NCLR serves dual roles as an advisory board member and one of our partner engagement and outreach partners focusing on Latino engagement. NCLR is part of the Enroll America Latino Coalition and was strategic in organizing and supporting outreach efforts to the Latino community. With NCLR’s assistance, successful Latino Enrollment Summits were held across the country. Their participation as an Enroll America partner is crucial to the outreach we do in the Latino community.
American Indian Health & Family Services
American Indian Health & Family Services (AIHFS) has been a key partner with Enroll America Michigan since the field program began in July 2013. At first, AIHFS played a significant role in promoting and providing a location for Enroll America events. After AIHFS received one of four Navigator grants in Michigan, the organizations worked together to build successful enrollment events, strategize enrollment efforts, and coordinate with other health care and community partners in the Detroit Metro area. In large part due to this successful partnership, both Enroll America Michigan and AIHFS became leaders in their respective roles: As a Navigator, AIHFS began the first enrollment period with all cylinders firing and continued successfully throughout open enrollment. Similarly, Enroll America was able to produce some of its best outreach numbers in Michigan.
