As part of our final push to the February 15 deadline, we’re kicking off a Hospital Week of Action from February 1 – 8 with national partners, such as the American Hospital Association, Catholic Hospital Association, and Trinity Health. We’re partnering with over 25 hospitals and co-hosting dozens of events across the country during the week to make sure consumers know about their coverage options and can get the help they need to enroll in coverage. Hospitals have been — and will continue to be — trusted messengers and sources of help for uninsured consumers. Enroll America is thrilled to highlight and amplify the vital outreach and enrollment work hospitals are doing.
If you follow our blog, you know we talk about the value of in-person assistance quite a bit. Hospitals have noted that message, too, and across the country they’ve created unique ways to make more in-person assisters available to the populations they serve. They’re boosting the capacity of in-person help in a variety of ways — from creating partnerships with assisters, to lending space for enrollment events, to having staff become assisters themselves — and have seen success across the board.
It’s not too late to work with (or as) hospitals to spread the word and get consumers covered. There are still 13 days until February 15, and many of the uninsured can benefit from Medicaid enrollment year-round.
You can join the Hospital Week of Action activities by:
- Hosting outreach events or participating in enrollment events.
- Promoting efforts and success stories on social media using #GotCovered.
