Having 11.4 million people covered in the marketplaces is a huge achievement, but we realize that enrollment work is not even close to being over yet. There are still uninsured Americans who lack the peace of mind that comes with coverage. And the next enrollment period will require even more focus to help consumers maintain and renew their coverage.
But we’re excited to hit the ground running to build on this strong foundation now that the dates for the third open enrollment period (OE3) are locked in! Last Friday, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that the next enrollment period will begin on November 1, 2015, and end January 31, 2016. Just like last year’s OE2 timing, this brings both new opportunities and challenges, but we’re confident that the enrollment community is more than up for the task.
Enroll America is busy developing and sharing resources so that enrollment stakeholders can continue to boost consumer enrollment over the coming months. Last week, we were excited to present our State of Enrollment Report — filled with data from our work and various findings highlighting promising practices to tackle specific enrollment challenges. You can get a quick rundown by reading these five key takeaways.
We also welcome you to join us on March 5 at 2:00 p.m. ET for a webinar featuring our most important lessons from this report. You’ll hear from the following speakers about the on-the-ground, online, and coalition-driven outreach strategies that can maximize enrollment in the years to come.
- Anne Filipic, President, Enroll America
- Ani Fete, National Director of Partner Engagement and Outreach, Enroll America
- John Gilbert, National Field Director, Enroll America
- Adam Stalker, National Digital Director, Enroll America
