Mark your calendar. Start the countdown. The second national “State of Enrollment” conference will be Wednesday, June 10, through Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Renaissance Washington, D.C., Downtown Hotel.
We’re bringing together health coverage outreach and enrollment leaders from across the country! If you play a role in connecting people to health coverage options under the Affordable Care Act, then we need your voice at #SOE2015.
Who should attend?
Navigators and other assisters; local, state, and federal government officials; hospitals; health plans; labor organizations; provider associations; consumer-based organizations; consumer advocates; and other organizations leading and implementing enrollment in Medicaid and the health insurance marketplaces.
What will I learn?
The conference will be an opportunity to catch up on the latest best practices in outreach and enrollment and hear expert insight as we all sustain momentum for the ongoing effort to get Americans covered — and keep them covered — in the years to come. Millions of Americans will still stand to benefit under the Affordable Care Act, and the conference will highlight the most effective tools and strategies to reach the remaining uninsured and help them enroll in, retain, understand, and use health coverage. With over two days of plenaries, workshops, trainings, and networking events, this is an event you won’t want to miss.
When can I register?
I have best practices to share. Can my organization run a workshop?
Yes! To share insights from the ground and ensure that workshops are tailored to the needs of attendees, interested organizations will have the opportunity to submit proposals to lead conference workshops beginning February 1. You’ll be able to visit the 2015 State of Enrollment Conference website starting February 1 to submit proposals.
Can I receive a scholarship to attend?
Scholarship applications will be accepted beginning February 1, and you’ll be able to apply on the conference website.
What was last year’s “State of Enrollment” conference like?
Last June, over 900 attendees from nearly every state (and Guam) came together to recap the first open enrollment period and strategize about how to build and maintain momentum for ongoing enrollment. In a survey immediately following the State of Enrollment 2014 conference, 95 percent of respondents said they would attend another Enroll America national conference.

On our blog, attendees shared some highlights of what they took away from the conference:
“We were not Navigators or Certified Application Counselors under the ACA, so where did we fit in this new landscape? At the State of Enrollment conference, I was able to reflect on the role we played during open enrollment and realized that we, and other groups like us, are credible partners and have a very important role doing enrollment assistance!”
Because of the #SOE2014 conference, I was able to sit down with a few key leaders and we are already starting to put together what our social media schedule will look like and how we can effectively create a digital plan for all of Nebraska!
“The opportunity to learn from and share promising and best practices with so many informed people from all over the country was informative and exciting. There’s no doubt that the takeaways we brought back to Massachusetts will ensure that hundreds of thousands of people get, and stay, covered during the upcoming open enrollment period!”
