It’s Navigator Day! $60 Million to 90 Organizations to Help Consumers Get Covered and Stay Covered

Congratulations to this year’s federal Navigator grant awardees!

A total of $60 million in grant awards went to 90 organizations to serve as Navigators in states with federally facilitated and partnership marketplaces. Sixty-one of the awards went to organizations that served as Navigators during the initial open enrollment period. 

All of us here at Enroll America and our Get Covered America campaign are excited to partner with and learn from these Navigators to inform and engage consumers and maximize the number of Americans who get covered and stay covered during the second open enrollment period (OE2). Click here to see the full list of awardees.

With less than 70 days left until the health insurance marketplaces open back up for business, enrollment stakeholders’ sleeves are already rolled up.

  • With some consumers having many new health insurance options, enrollment stakeholders learned in OE1 that potential enrollees were looking for help to pick the plan that would best fit their needs and budget. The Get Covered America Plan Picker offers an at-a-glance view of which “metal level” could be the best fit for a consumer.

In October, we’ll provide several opportunities to learn about best practices from OE1 — and how they can be applied to OE2 — through our #Ready4OE2 webinar and blog series. The series will touch on outreach strategies for key constituencies, including women, communities of color, people of faith, and young Americans. Watch this space for more information.
