Exchange Implementation Update

Type of Exchange Planned:

The new Arizona Health Insurance Marketplace is operated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Visit marketplace.cms.gov to see how you can partner with HHS to help people enroll in the new coverage options in Arizona.

Federal Support for Enrollment in Arizona:

  • Arizona has received a total of $30,877,097 from HHS to support establishment of the Health Insurance Marketplace.
  • On July 10, 2013, health centers in Arizona were awarded a total of $2,271,003 to provide outreach and enrollment assistance.
  • HHS is planning to provide $1,580,466 to organizations in Arizona to serve as navigators.
